What happens at my consultation?
Our Live Telehealth NP will take you through a full consultation to understand what look you hope to achieve from the treatment, and which product would work best for you. At this point the product quantity will be suggested. If you are both happy to go ahead with treatment, you will take a seat in the reclining treatment chair and the fillers will be injected into the agreed upon areas with an ultra-thin needle.

What are dermal filler injections made of?
Most commonly, fillers are primarily made of hyaluronic acid in a smooth gel. We use premium brands which include Restylane, Teoxane RHA and Belotero which have different varieties to be used in different parts of the face as do other HA fillers as well. Fillers also have a local anesthetic mixed in with them to make the treatment more comfortable, although we always use numbing cream alongside this.

On which areas can dermal fillers be used?
They can be used to treat a range of skin concerns such as lack of volume and shallow to deep wrinkles and folds such as smile, marionette and lipstick lines and those at the corner of the mouth, chin and neck. They can also be used to plump up areas such as to create lush and full lips and fill out sunken cheeks.

Are dermal filler injections safe?
Yes, they are very safe if administered by a fully trained and certified professional, such as our Injector. As with all treatments, there can be side effects. The most common include bruising, redness, swelling, pain or itching which are temporary.

Can dermal fillers be reversed?
Yes, if you change your mind or the effect isn’t what you were wanting/expecting, dermal fillers can be dissolved by an injection of an enzyme called hyaluronidase. This service is an additional fee.

How long will it take to work?
The benefits will be immediate, although you may experience some swelling at first. The effects should settle down within two weeks.

How long do dermal fillers last?
Depending on the type of product used, your metabolism and the area treated, the effects can last from 6-24 months.

Will dermal fillers hurt?
Dermal fillers are administered with minimal discomfort due to the needle being ultra-fine. A topical numbing cream is also used and dermal fillers containing a local anesthetic to further reduce any discomfort.
During the procedure you may experience a slight stinging sensation, but this usually subsides almost instantly. After the procedure there may be some slight swelling which reduces within 4 days. The great thing about dermal fillers is that there is minimal downtime, and you can return to your usual activities straight away.

How long will the treatment take?

The procedure usually takes 20 to 45 mins, depending on the procedure area.

Nose Filler/ Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty

AFTERCARE

DON’T - Apply makeup or any lotion over the nose for the next 4 hours after filler injections.
DON’T - Swim or use saunas, sun, heat or hot exercises for 1 week after nose filler.
DON’T - Rub or massage the nose or apply pressure with glasses for at least 1 week after nose filler
DO - Apply arnica gel for swelling and bruising.
DO - Sleep slightly elevated, with your head above your heart, the next two nights to help alleviate swelling. Sleep on your back.
DO - take tylenol acetaminophen if necessary for pain
DON'T - take Blood-thinning medication like aspirin and ibuprofen may cause swelling and bruising. Avoid them for 24-48 hours.
