Older patients who want to reduce the signs of aging of their skin and younger patients who want a more dewy, radiant and brighter skin or to reduce depressed acne scares are good candidates. If you want your skin to look it's very best, this is an amazing option.

How is it done?

The face can be numbed prior to starting, or without if the patient prefers. Multiple fine micro-injections of a mixture of ingredients based on your needs are used on specified areas or the entire face. 

Is there any downtime or side effects?

The most common side effects are temporary and include redness, needle marks and bumps immediately after injections. These fade within 12 to 24 hours. At most 3 days.

 

Are there any risks with skin boosters/ mesotherapy?

 

This is a very safe treatment and suitable for most people. You might experience, swelling, bruising, fine needle marks, small bumps under the skin from the tiny droplets of product injected under the skin, these reactions are transient and will normalize.

Can Skin boosters/Mesotherapy be combined with other treatments?

Yes, you can combine all other treatments and injectables.

How do they differ from Botox and dermal fillers?

There are clear differences to note:

  • Botox works by blocking the signals to nerves to the muscles. This stops facial muscles from contracting, which soften the dynamic lines and wrinkles such as frown lines, forehead lines and crow's feet.

  • Dermal fillers contain cross-linked hyaluronic acid to fill in areas and replenish lost volume creating a fuller smoother look to the face. They also contour the face and lips adding an enhanced dimension.

  •  Skin boosters, similar to dermal fillers, also contain hyaluronic acid. The key difference is that they function to hydrate, Not restore volume or contour. Therefore, their aim is to revitalize and rejuvenate dry skin, soften fine lines and improve skin elasticity. In addition, they always contain additional antioxidants, amino acids, and vitamins in various combinations.

How many treatments are needed?

For the best results, 3 treatments are advised 4 weeks apart, thereafter you can maintenance every 6 to 12 months.
